Improving quality of life for the people with life-limiting illnesses.

Short-Term Crisis Care Counseling

Ultimately, nothing can completely prepare someone for an experience of grief and loss; each person reacts uniquely to this potentially life-altering experience, and feelings of pain, longing, vulnerability, confusion, sorrow, anxiety, fear, and anger may emerge at the time of a loved one’s death and continue for many months afterward. During this difficult time, Advance Hospice Care is available to walk with surviving family members through the grief and bereavement, and we offer a number of services and support systems to help those most affected heal.

Crisis Care Counseling Includes

  • Support in the form of counseling, companionship, or conversation by phone, e-mail, postal correspondence, or in person
  • Bereavement newsletters and educational materials
  • Community resource referrals to grief therapists, community support groups, memorial services, and legal services
